Great Depression/New Deal Test Friday, February 16 Monopoly Project: DUE February 27 Students will create a board game incorporating what they learned from the Great Depression and New Deal. **Students will need a poster board or cardboard to create their game board by February 19. Roaring Twenties Test Friday, January 26 World War I Test Tuesday, December 5 World War I Timeline: Each student will be researching 2 events from World War I. Students will research their events, write a descriptive paragraph, and draw and color a picture to go with their events. Rubrics will be distributed in class on Wednesday, December 6, and the project is due Monday, December 11. America as a World Power Test Thursday, November 9 Progressive Era Campaign Speech and Poster Students will create a campaign speech and poster addressing the problems of the 1800s as if they were a candidate running for office at the time. This project will be introduced on Monday, October 23 and the rubric will be passed out at that time. Students will be given time in class to work on their poster on Wednesday, October 25 and Thursday, October 26. Students will need to write they're speeches at home after the project is introduced. Students will present their speeches and posters to the class on Friday, October 27. Civil War/Reconstruction Test Tuesday, October 3 Civil War Circle Book Students will research and analyze a famous Civil War battle. They will describe an important person from the battle and create a monument that memorializes the battle. Students will be given time in class to work on this project on October 4-October 6. It is due by lunch time on October 6. U.S. Geography Test Wednesday, September, 13 U.S. Postcard Project DUE Friday, September 15 Students will create 5 postcards about one of the states in the U.S. This project will be completed largely at home with some time in class on September 14 to finalize details. Rubrics with the requirements for this project will be given to students on August 28. Introduction to Geography Test Friday, August 25 |
