Friday, April 6 "Miracle" Essay: Students will analyze events leading to the end of the Cold War and describe how the 1980 Olympics, along with those events, affected the American psyche. Students will be working on this in class during the week of April 16 and will complete whatever is not finished at home. Essay due Monday, April 23. Vietnam War Test Friday, March 2 Civil Rights Test Friday, January 26 Civil Rights History Web: The students will research key individuals and events from the Civil Rights movement and create a History Web. Rubrics for this assignment will be handed out on Monday, January 29. Cold War Test Thursday, December 14 American Culture Museum Project: Students will be working with a group to create a museum board for a topic in American 1950s culture. Rubrics will be distributed in class on Friday, December 15. Project is due Thursday, December 21. India/China Geography Test: Wednesday, November 8 There will be NO test or project with this unit. Constitution Test Thursday, October 5 Canada/Mexico Test Thursday, September 7 Canada/Mexico Brochures DUE Friday, September 8 Students will be creating a brochure about Canada or Mexico. This project will be completed largely at home with some time in class on September 5 to finalize details. Rubrics with the requirements for this project will be given to students on August 21. Ecosystem Project: Students will conduct research on a particular ecosystem and create a poster that identifies the characteristics of that ecosystem. |
